Cons:  the instructions, the parts, the overall quality

"If you're any kind of perfectionist you're worst nightmare might be endlessly being forced to build this conservatory kit. The product is a mess. Here's why: The conservatory is manufactured by multiple individual companies who each provide separate instruction manuals (3 in total) which are all full of false information and poor instructions. They miss important construction details and contradict one another constantly. The instructions fail to list the fitting equipment correctly (screws, nuts, bolts etc.) and none of these parts are numbered or marked. There's also a completely different number of screws and bolts provided to the number you'll need, and they're all bagged up in 6's, 8's and 10's etc. when the job actually requires 54 etc! Moving on, and the included DVD guide is a joke. The conservatory fitters on screen make a number of mistakes, but this is never made clear and with the magic of editing the mistakes are rectified for the following shot. The DVD only covers one style of conservatory (lean too) so there is a huge chunk of instructions missing for any Victorian or Edwardian style purchaser. And, unless I was extremely unlucky (extremely doubtful) you'll discover that the on screen installation of window trims and frames by means of a gentle tap is so far from the truth it's unbelievable! It's a good job I visit the gym regularly! The conservatory itself arrived well packaged, but upon closer inspection after half a days unwrapping I discovered a number of the double glazed windows were scratched - on the inside!! They should never have passed inspection at the factory! The roof panel trims were damaged, as were numerous other gutter and frame parts. I had to amend, tinker and fix many of the trims, the finial, the window panels, the window frames, the eaves beam... the list goes on. Almost every part of the construction process was not as described or involved repairing a part or fixing an issue that should never have been present in the first place. After many months toiling away on building this conservatory kit to the standard I am happy with (as close to perfect as I can get without completely loosing my marbles) I am finally mostly pleased with the finished product and it doesn't leak. But very little of anything positive is down to the conservatory design but due to my patience, stubborn willingness to complete the job well and many years of acquired skill. If you're not too fussy with quality or are looking for a real challenge, by all means purchase away. If however you want to hang onto your sanity I could only recommend looking for another conservatory kit elsewhere. I honestly wouldn't recommend one of these to my worst enemy."
