Those looking to give their guttering a revamp should consider picking up a paintbrush.
Such is the assertion of Jeff Howell, where in an article in the Daily Telegraph he reports that people wanting to change the colour of their plastic gutters should look to purchase some PVC-U paint.
This, he claims, is something that people should find they can buy from a home improvement store
or decorators' merchants and not only can be used to give guttering a different appearance but also help to renovate faded gutters and window frames.
However, Mr Howell pointed out that for those consumers who have a drainage system in place for a substantial period of time "it will probably be easier and cheaper to simply replace your gutters and downpipes".
It was reported that after about 20 years a PVC-U guttering system will be losing its effectiveness as the material gradually weakens from exposure to sunlight.

enthusiasts looking to add a lick of paint to their property that "preparation is everything".
