    Pros:  absolutely none
Cons:  definitely not a quality product

"Before purchasing this product I read the negative reviews already submitted and felt that perhaps they had been unlucky. Taking heed of what was negatively said I allowed the door to breath for a couple of weeks in my workshop before commencing any cutting of hinge, lock and door furniture sockets. After cutting these, the holes were well coated in top quality preservative, undercoat and topcoat and allowed to dry for two weeks. Well, I am in the process of replacing this door after a couple of months (making this one myself this time) as it is in my view 'not fit for purpose' The timber is not close grained and is made up of sectionalised pieces formed to make up usefully sized timber ie: laminated, Even with 5 coats of preserver, undercoat and high gloss top coat it is now deforming on the cross rails and swelling at the joints with side rails. It certainly does not fit the frame anymore. It is possible that this may not have happened so soon had the manufacturers used traditional mortice and tenon joints at these important locations. I would not recommend this particular door product. Also, I am surprised that Wickes have not as yet reviewed this issue themselves. Up to now I have not had a bad product from Wickes and have freely recommended them on many occasions. What a shame!"

"The door looked fine when first delivered and was fitted. We gave it two undercoats and two top coats. But the door warped and also swelled so that the Carpenter had to come back, plane one edge and re-hang the door. All we wanted was a simple rear door for the garage which would be servicable and thought that with your name on it it would more than fit our requirments, but we have been sadly disappointed. The delivery, which I am not supposed to mention, was excellent - the only good things about it. I ordered it on line at about 4.00 pm on a Wednesday afternoon and it was delivered to us at about 9.00 am next day. The driver was courteous and efficient and teh door arrived with all its wrappings and unmarked."

    Pros:  easy to fit
    Cons:  it's cheap rubbish

"It arrived on time, well packaged and was easy enough to fit. I stained the door with 4 coats of good quality woodstain, but less than a year on I've lost count of the number of times the door has swelled. It's incredibly sensitive to temperature - heat and cold- and the face wood has recently split all over the place. I don't think it would be behaving any differently if I'd painted it. It's cheap, because it's Pine. I'll buy a hardwood door soon, which would have been a lot cheaper if I hadn't wasted my money on this one first"
