Pros:  efficient, lovely and warm, no more cold feet
Cons:  not the easiest to install, timer not included in pack

"I used this UFH wire in my bathroom under some marble tiles. The shape of the bathroom is too awkward for the mat style UFH. It wasn't the easiest of things to install but I did a pretty good job of it in the end. It is best to mark out the path for the wires with a marker pen first to get the route, spacing and length of the cable correct as you can't cut the cable. I wouldn't space the wires any more than 60mm apart as cold spots will be apparent on the finished tiles. I also used an insulating board underneath as the floor is a bitumen coated concrete slab which saps heat. The depth of the insulation, adhesive and tiles is quite significant so this should be accounted for when deciding if it is for you. I used a rubber float to apply the adhesive so as not to damage the wire. Overall I'm very happy with how it went. The bathroom floor tiles used to be rediculously cold on my feet in the winter but now it''s lovely and warm. It makes the room feel warmer than it actually is, if that makes any sense. It takes about 15 minutes to take the chill off the tiles and around half an hour to become fully warm. To my surprise it stays warm for well over an hour after switch off. I used to have an electric oil heater in there that used 1000 watts and it needed to be on for hours before making a difference. At 300 watts this UFH wire does the job much quicker, more effectively and certainly more efficiently. I use a timer to put it on for half an hour before I get up and again for half an hour when I come home and twice for a further 15 mins later in the evening to maintain the warmth. If you don't like having bare feet on cold tiles I highly recommend this product."

"a little bit awkard to fit at first but better than a mat, i was able to position it around the utility units this prevents heating under cabinets"

    Pros:  good instructions
Cons:  shame the clock/switch not included

"This was so much better than the mat. I have put this in my bathroom and can carefully cover all the exposed areas of the floor and negotiate all the fittings with ease. Takes a bit more time but worth it in the end. The cable is also ultra thin compared to the mat so getting a level with all the tiles was not a problem."
