Pros:  look good move easily, good u-value
Cons:  flimsy construction., seals slide out

"I chose this because a Wickes patio door I installed 20 years ago is still working well. The supplier must have been changed, because this one has the following faults: 1 One of the glazing units was in backwards - the low-E stickers on the glazing units should be on the side facing the room. Both the fixed and the sliding doors had the sticker on the same side as the interlock profiles fixed to the 2 meeting stiles, but as one door has this profile facing the room and the other faces out, one of the stickers faces out. I didn't call to report this because my customer wanted the doors fitted and secure and I couldn't afford to wait, but this will affect the U-value. Just don't tell the building inspector... 2 All the profiles are weak, this doesn't matter on the frame if you use enough fixers but the doors are very easy to bend. This is most noticeable on the door stile which has the handle fixed to it, when you close the door the whole plastic section twists so that it catches on the frame. I don't think there is any reinforcing inside the plastic. Other makers' doors don't flex this much. 3 Within weeks of fitting, 4 of the draught seals had slid along their carriers. The top one between the inner and outer doors had slid out and was dangling in the space between the doors, and the bottom one was sliding into the closing gap, preventing the doors from closing. I am a builder and this meant a call-back for me (which I can't charge for), plus a dent in my reputation. I fixed the seals, and others that were loose, with a dab of superglue. 4 The instructions were not very clear, and assembling the outer frame was fiddly. Plus points - they move easily for a door that weighs 60Kg, and the appearance is good."

Pros:  nice item assembled well, finished item looks and works well
Cons:  more clarity in the instructions please

"Bought one as our old one was failing and the glass units were "blown" Instructions were limited but very clear and installation was very straight forward. Had a slight problem with the lock, contacted the makers and a replacement part appeared within 24 hours. Good product and excellent customer and after-sales service. Would recommend them again. Tip: Remove the protective film from the glazed panels before assembly - difficult afterwards."

Cons:  instructions could be clearer- photos would help

"I bought the my first one about 5 years ago, and I am still happy with it. So the fact that I have bought another one speaks for itself! A great buy. I have installed both of them myself, but I am quite a handyman."
