step2.png

Step 2

Lay 14 x 880mm feather edge boards on top of the frame, ensuring they overlap one another by approximately 15mm. Nail each overlap into the frame using SKU 516000 Bright Oval Nails 25mm as you go along. Make sure they are flush on one side and have a 22mm overhang on the other side.

Step 3

Repeat steps 1 and 2 to produce the second side.

Step 4 - Constructing the back

Lay 2 x 1105mm and 2 x 1200mm out in a flush square (with the 1105mm lengths inside the 1200mm lengths).

Step 5

Lay 14 x 1210mm feather edge boards on top of the frame, again ensuring an overlap of approximately 15mm. Nail each overlap into the frame using SKU 516000 Bright Oval Nails 25mm as you go along.

Step 6

Stand the back panel and one side panel upright together (ensuring the side panel sits flush inside the back panel). Screw the side and back panels together from the inside with 3 X SKU 164430 Angle Brackets (top, middle and bottom) and SKU 511085 Ultra gold Screws 25mm.

Step 7

Step 10

Lay 14 x 575mm feather edge boards on top of the frame, again ensuring an overlap of approximately 15mm. Nail each overlap into the frame usingSKU 516000 Bright Oval Nails 25mm as you go along.

Step 11

Repeat steps 9 and 10 to construct the second door.

Step 12 - Fitting the doors

Screw 2 x 1165mm vertical 22mm x 47mm sawn treated lengths to the front of the frame flush with the side panels withSKU 511085 Ultra gold screws 25mm. These will be used to hang the doors from.

step13.png

Step 13

Screw 2 X 188326 75mm G7 Ball bearing Hinges onto the inside of each door, level with the third and tenth feather edge board. To finish hanging the door, screw the remainder of the hinge into the additional lengths fitted to the main frame in step 12.

Step 14

Repeat steps 9-13 for the second door.

step16.png

Step 16

Lay 11 x 620mm feather edge boards on top of the frame, this time ensuring that the boards are flush with the frame on one side and that the excess feather edge board overruns the other side. Centre the frame to leave approximately 20mm excess at the top and bottom also. This will ensure that all rain water drains off on to the ground.

Nail each overlap into the frame using SKU 516000 Bright Oval Nails 25mm as you go along.

Step 17 - Fitting the doors

Screw 2 X 188326 75mm G7 Ball bearing Hinges to the back of the lid approximately 100mm in from either side using SKU 511071 Ultra Gold Screws 3.0x12mm.

Fit this to the top back beam of the back panel. The lid door frame should slot into the bin store, leaving the feather edge to rest on the frame exterior.
