Terms and Conditions for "Wickes Kit For Kids" Promotion

Wickes are running a competition offering the chance to win a football strip for an Under 14s football team.

How to enter:

Subject to these Terms and Conditions, the promotion can be entered by going to and completing the relevant details on the form.

Entries can be submitted from 11.00am on Wednesday 23rd November 2016, up until midnight (GMT) on Sunday 25 December 2016 (inclusive).

The winners will be chosen by a panel of judges based on the reasons given by the entrant for needing a new kit.

  1. There will be 72 winners across the United Kingdom. Each winner will receive 13 x football strips (consisting of shirt, shorts and pair of socks); 2 x goalkeeper strips (consisting of shirt, shorts and gloves), 2 x Mitre football, 15 x training bibs, 1 x agility and speed set, 1 Bench Jacket and up to 16 EFL match tickets to their local EFL club.
  2. The Prize’s are subject to availability. Football kit design must fall in line with Mitre’s (2017-18) catalogue range (available at Tickets to an EFL match must be used by registered Club’s Players. Teams will only receive tickets for 1 manager (over 18) and all registered team players within the team, up to a number of 16. The winning tickets are to watch a regular EFL league fixture match (excluding any cup/trophy/playoff competitions) at a local EFL team and are subject to only clubs within a 10 Mile radius of the winning team. All winning match tickets are subject to the EFL clubs terms and conditions and are subject to availability. All tickets are only available for the 2016/17 season and must be redeemed by 17th May 2017.
  3. Team kit will be issued in the team colours (where possible) bearing the Wickes, Mitre and EFL logos. No other sponsors’ logos will be entitled to appear on the kit.
  4. Prizes are non-refundable, non-transferable and non-changeable.
  5. The Promoter reserves the right in its absolute discretion to substitute another prize of similar or greater value.
  6. This Promotion is open to all UK residents. Entrants under the age of 18 must have the consent of a parent or guardian over 18 to enter the competition. The Promoter reserves the right to verify entrants’ eligibility.
  7. Employees (or family members of employees) of the Promoter’s Group companies or any agencies involved with the contest, and all affiliates of such companies, may not enter the Promotion.
  8. One entry per football team. Entries sent in through agents or third parties will be disqualified. Early, late, incomplete or otherwise ineligible entries will be disqualified.
  9. The entrant must state reasons why the Under 14s football team need a new kit and also include their name, the team’s address (including postcode), contact telephone number, email address and answer all the questions on the details form.
  10. By participating in the competition, entrants fully and unconditionally agree to and accept these Terms and Conditions and the decisions of the Promoter, which are final and binding in all matters related to the competition.
  11. The terms and conditions of any other third party supplier will also apply to the prize where applicable. If there is a conflict between third party terms and conditions and these terms and conditions, these shall take precedence.
  12. Entries will be accepted between 11.00am on Wednesday 23rd November 2016 and midnight GMT on Sunday 25 December 2016 (inclusive).
  13. The winning entrant will be chosen by a panel of judges by Friday 13th January 2017.
  14. Winners will be notified by e-mail by Friday 13th January 2017.
  15. In the event that the winners cannot be contacted for any reason by Friday 27th January 2017, the Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner within the same geographical area. The Promoter will not be responsible for any inability to contact a winner.
  16. Delivery & ceremony of the kit will be completed before 30 April 2017. A person over the age of 18 must be available to attend the ceremony on behalf of the football club.
  17. The winning teams must agree to participate in publicity which will include photographs and they are required to obtain parental consent for photographs to be taken of children.
  18. The winners shall follow all care instructions and take all necessary precautions to protect the material and colour of the kit. In this regard, the winners should note that all fabric will discolour by staining and/or perspiration; lighter colours will discolour more than darker; and fabric printed by sublimation process can re-print if subjected to temperatures over 70°C.
  19. The Promoter will not accept any liability for or replace Goods which have been discoloured or damaged as a result of the winners’ failure to comply with any product care instructions provided by the Promoter, including but not limited to discolouring or damage as a result of staining and/or perspiration or which have re-printed, or which receive further print or embellishment or customising processes from sources other than the Promoter.
  20. Whilst the Promoter takes care to ensure that the colours printed in its catalogues or brochures are an accurate reflection of the colours of its products, variations will occur. Materials of different fibres in the same garment can also vary in colour during wear and laundering and no liability can be accepted by the Promoter for those variations.
  21. The Promoter takes care to accurately reproduce winners’ requirements for additional printing on its products such as numbers and Club crest if it is provided to the Promoter in the appropriate format. The Promoter cannot however guarantee an exact reproduction and slight variations will occur for which no liability will be accepted.
  22. The Promoter reserves the right to amend or withdraw this competition if circumstances arise which are beyond its control.
  23. Entries must not contain material that:
    • a) is inappropriate, offensive, indecent, obscene, hateful, defamatory, derogatory, slanderous, libellous, or anything similar; or
    • b) may promote bigotry, racism, hatred or harm against any group or individual or that may promote discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age.
  24. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the operation of the competition or to be acting in violation of these Terms and Conditions or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Any attempt by any person deliberately to undermine the legitimate operation of the competition may be a violation of criminal and civil law and, should such an attempt be made, the Promoter reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. The Promoter’s failure to enforce any of these Terms and Conditions shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.
  25. Information collected from entrants will only be used for the purposes of entry into the competition and will not be disclosed to a third party, other than as is absolutely necessary to fulfil the prize offered under this competition, without the individual’s prior consent.
  26. The Promoter may at its sole discretion disqualify entries for which intellectual property claims are received and remove any such entry or component thereof from the website. The Promoter reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to remove and disqualify any entry that does not adhere to these Terms and Conditions.
  27. The Promoter is not responsible for any lost, late, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible or misdirected entries, which will be disqualified. No responsibility can be accepted for any technical failures of any kind, nor for any technical or human error which may occur in the administration of the competition or the processing of entries.
  28. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not liable for any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, from any entrant’s participation in the competition or from any prize. In any event (again to the fullest extent permitted by law) the Promoter’s liability is limited to three thousand pounds.
  29. These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law, and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
