How to cut your tiles

Watch our easy-to-follow videos showing how to cut your tiles.

Ceramic tiles

These man-made tiles are easy to clean and come in lots of colours and finishes. Ceramic tiles are made from clay and topped with a decorative glaze that is then hardened by heat. They are durable and the most affordable option for tiling walls and floors in any room, including kitchens and bathrooms.

Porcelain tiles

Porcelain tiles are fired at much higher temperatures than ceramic tiles, making them denser, harder wearing and more water resistant. This means they are ideal for high-use areas, such as kitchen floors. Glazed porcelain tiles have a glaze on top which gives them their pattern or colour. Full bodied porcelain tiles have the pattern running right through the tile, so they are harder to damage.

Natural stone tiles

These tiles are a timeless choice for both walls and floors. Our marble and granite natural stone tiles are quarried from the ground, meaning each tile has its own unique markings, patterns and textures. In comparison to porcelain and ceramic tiles, these tiles are extremely strong, hardwearing, and can easily last a lifetime with the right care.

Mosaic tiles

Use these decorative tiles to create unique patterns or focal points on your walls and floors. Mosaics tiles are available in countless colours and patterns and come in glass, ceramic, porcelain and natural stone finishes to complement your other tiles. Mosaics can also be easily cut into strips to use as decorative borders, creating a unique design.
