When is the best time to install a fence?

If you want to put up or replace your garden fence, it’s best to choose a time when you have dry weather and the soil isn’t overly saturated. Summer is the most popular time to complete a fencing project, but if the weather is on your side, it’s also possible to get it done during spring or autumn.

Should I paint or stain my fence panels?

Consider paint for wood fences if you want a colourful finish and protection against weathering. Wood stain is best for showcasing natural wood grain while offering protection. For composite fences, a paint may not adhere well, so staining is preferred for enhancing colour and durability.

What’s the difference between overlap and double slatted fences?

Overlap fences feature boards overlapping one another for privacy and durability, ideal for concealing boundaries. Double slatted fences, on the other hand, boast horizontal slats on both sides, offering a contemporary look from any angle.
