Pros:  really improves the look of a room.
Cons:  none really, just allow plenty of time to do a quality job.

"This is a quality product but there is a knack to easy installation. Other reviewers have said it's a messy and difficult job but it need not be. First, I would recommend that you paint the coving with your chosen emulsion before installing it, particularly if the coving is to be a different colour than the wall or you have an Artex ceiling. If you paint later, you will find masking tape doesn?t seal on Artex so paint creeps under it onto the ceiling. Some coving has one edge labelled on the back as the ceiling edge and it is important to check this each time you cut a piece. If you need to make a butt joint in a long run a 45 deg cut is easier to align than 90 deg. Hold a small offcut of coving in position against the ceiling and make a pencil mark on the wall against the bottom edge then knock in a panel pin a little way on the mark. Do this about every metre. Check the fit of each piece before glueing. Apply a bead of adhesive (tubes are so much cleaner to use) about 1cm from each edge then place the coving onto the pins and press into place. Wipe away any excess adhesive. When it's dry pull out the pins, fill gaps and touch in paint with a small artist?s brush. You can also take the opportunity to hide cables behind the coving to supply wall lights etc."

    Pros:  professional looking once completed
    Cons:  cut into smaller lenghts

"supplied in 3 mtr lengths if installing by one person suggest cut into 1500mm lengths easier to fit use cove adhesive made up to a fairly thick consistency clean up as you go this is not a job to be taken on lightly. BUT the end results are worth the effort. fill gaps in joints and between cove and ceiling/wall with the adhesive as you go do not do it later use a damp/wet sponge to clean up with clean water leave whole to dry out thoughout 48 hours ideal before decorating"

    Cons:  messy needs 2 people

"Never again!! Found myself with a few days off..... do the coving......easy I thought. Have used polystyrene so often....quick easy, little mess , no problem for one person and with care gives a proffesional apperance. It now seems in very short supply anywhere! This is messy , except for short pieces,....very awkward for one person and would need a course to give a good apperance. Bought enough for 3 rooms, now dont know what to do with it and the expensive adhesive. Dont buy this if you dont know what you are doing and dont have help!!! Sure it would be at least OK then!"

    Pros:  professional neat appearence
    Cons:  heavy

"Our decorator used this for our hall/stairs/landing. It's 3m in length, and so heavy and awkward to place. He manged it on his own but I think if attempting this yourself, get another pair of hands to help with the long runs. Looks great when its up!"
