How many loft stilts do you need per board?
To find out how many stilts you need for each loft board, simply add the number of joists the boards will cover and multiply that by the number of legs required along the joists. Finally, divide this number of loft legs by 12 to find out how many boxes you’ll need.
Can I put insulation over a boarded loft?
Yes, you can insulate your loft once it’s already boarded but it may require you to lift the boards if you’ve opted for thicker sheets. Always ensure your loft is properly ventilated and avoid compressing the insulation as this can reduce its effectiveness.
