In order to use our flooring installation service, you must have purchased your flooring from Wickes.

Meet your installer

Your installer will call you to introduce themselves and set a convenient time to visit, checking everything is in order ahead of your installation.

You can then agree on an installation date.

Have your new flooring fitted

Before your installation date we’ll arrange your delivery, taking into account any time needed for your flooring to adapt to its new environment.

Your installer will run through the care and maintenance instructions with you, discuss your 2-year workmanship guarantee, tidy up and leave you to enjoy your new flooring.

What does our installation service include?

• Our installation service can be used for flooring projects of a minimum 5m² and over.

• Our Wickes-approved installers* will complete a full technical survey before your job begins and provide all adhesive and trims to complete the project.

• Underlay will need to be purchased alongside flooring, to ensure longevity and enable us to offer a 2 year workmanship guarantee. We will only lay flooring onto new underlay that has the appropriate guarantees.

• Our installation service includes the environmentally-friendly disposal of your old flooring, if you purchase our waste removal service.

• Our installers follow rigorous health and safety guidance with full public liability insurance.

*Our Wickes-approved installers are third-party contractors. We vet and approve all installers and their projects prior to their instruction.

How much does installation cost?

The total cost of your flooring project will depend on the size of your space, the product you select and if your existing space needs any preparation such as floor levelling. To discuss your project and receive a no obligation quote, complete our contact form.

Can I have underfloor heating installed?

Yes, we can install underfloor heating with most flooring.

What happens when my flooring is delivered?

The day before your delivery, we or one of our dedicated suppliers will text or call you to confirm an estimated delivery window. You’ll need to be at home to accept the delivery, as failed deliveries will delay your installation and could incur additional re-delivery charges.

Ensure you have sufficient space to store your flooring in a dry safe place. It is important that your flooring is acclimatised in the room in which it will be fitted, in accordance with manufacturer instructions. As a guide:

• LVT, laminate and engineered flooring should be left to acclimatise for a minimum of 2 days

• Solid wood flooring should be left to acclimatise for a minimum of 7 day

You’ll need to check your delivery and report any missing or visibly damaged items within 7 days of receipt. We’d encourage you to check your delivery straight away to ensure you have everything listed on your invoice and there is no obvious damage.

Will I need to remove my furniture from the room beforehand?

Yes, please empty the room and store the contents safely out of the way before the installer arrives. Remember to keep your essentials accessible during the installation.
