How do you grout floor tiles?

It’s easy to grout floor tiles, and you can do so by:

1. Start by mixing your grout with water in a bucket using the ratio supplied on the packaging. You should whisk the mixture until it’s a thick enough consistency to hold its shape but still able to be applied to fill the gaps between the tiles.
2. Next, begin placing the grout on the floor, starting at the centre. You should place the tiles one by one after the grout to avoid the grout drying too quick.
3. Work the grout into the gaps between the tiles using a grout float, ensuring it’s level with the tiles. 
4. Once all the tiles have been laid, leave them to partially dry before gently wiping away any excess grout with a damp sponge. You should avoid wiping over the joints to prevent the grout from pulling away from the floor. 

How do you clean a hardwood floor?

To clean a hardwood floor, start by clearing any debris using a sweeping brush or vacuum cleaner. Next, fill a mop bucket with water and a suitable floor cleaner. Dip the mop into the bucket, wringing it to ensure the mop head isn’t too wet before wiping down the entire floor in a consistent sweeping motion.

Rinse the mop with clean water and wring it out so it’s mostly dry before re-mopping the floor to remove any cleaning solution residue. Wring the mop again until it’s dry and mop the floor once more to achieve a clean, streak-free finish. 

How do you remove floor tiles?

To remove floor tiles, begin by carefully cracking the tile using a hammer, ensuring you’re wearing a dust mask and eye protection for safety. Lift away the fragments of tile with a chisel. Once all the debris is cleared, sand the area where the tile was and prepare to place the new flooring.
