Despite economic uncertainties, a significant number of UK homeowners plan to invest more in home improvements. According to Sheer Water Glass, 57% of homeowners are planning to renovate in the next six months. Approximately 22% of homeowners intend to increase their renovation budgets in 2025, with an average additional spend of £7,386. This is a net budget increase of 15%, offering optimism for the home improvement market. This trend is particularly prominent among younger homeowners aged 18-34, with 36% planning to boost their budgets, compared to 17% of those aged 55 and above.

Greens, blues and browns in bathroom renovations

It’s predicted that earthy tones such as greens, blues and browns will dominate in 2025. A recent survey of interior designers found that while white is still the most popular colour (76%), green follows very closely at 71%, and half selected blue as well (51%), with brown getting 44%.
