How to Choose Laminate Flooring
Colour
We offer several colourways in our laminate flooring, each designed to complement certain home interiors and preferences:
Beige Laminate Flooring: Warm-toned, versatile and brightening, but lighter tones can make marks or dirt more obvious
Brown Laminate Flooring: Warm-toned and cool-toned options, mimics natural wood the best and injects a natural look into the home
Grey Laminate Flooring: Cool-toned, more modern and available in a range of shades. Lighter may show up marks easier, but generally, grey ensures a clean-looking space
White Laminate Flooring: A clean, fresh and simplistic colourway, ideal for minimalist homes. May need more consistent cleaning due to its lightness
Black Laminate Flooring: A bold, moody aesthetic which can make any space feel cosy. Hair and other debris may show up easier
Effect
Laminate flooring is designed to replicate luxurious materials while remaining affordable, and easy to install and maintain. We have three different variations so you can opt for a style choice that suits your home.
Wood Effect
Our most popular type of laminate is wood effect, and it’s available in a range of wood tones and grains so you can find the right variation for your space. Find light, medium and dark oaks in our collection, ideal for living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and other living spaces. We also have water resistant options for moisture prone rooms of the house.
Stone Effect
Transforming a toilet, bathroom or kitchen? Opt for our stone effect laminate. These have been specially designed with water resistance and take the appearance of materials like sleek slate. A great choice for busy households.
Herringbone
While this is technically a wood effect, it’s specifically produced in a herringbone format, which is a very popular interior choice for homeowners over recent years for its elegance. Our oak herringbone laminate is available in several timber shades too.
Finish
The finish is just as important as the colourway in terms of aesthetics. We offer embossed, registered embossed, textured and rustic to replicate grooves and the feeling of the natural materials. And we also have gloss or satin options which brighten, reflect and are eye-catching.
Size & Type
Our laminate flooring is available in a range of plank widths and thicknesses for compatibility in a range of rooms and performance needs. The thickness determines robustness, stability and sound insulation, whereas plank width refers to how big a single plank would be and how many you’d need to fill a space.
As a guide, here’s what each thickness is suitable for:
6-8mm: Ideal for general rooms, affordable
10mm: Offers improved underfoot cushioning
12mm: Withstands the heaviest amount of footfall, ideal in busy homes
Plus, if our laminate is labelled water resistant, it’s designed to withstand spills, humidity and high moisture levels, but it isn’t necessarily waterproof and will still need to be cared for. If it’s for the kitchen or bathroom, it can also withstand high heat levels.
