Who will install and support my system – Wickes Solar or Solar Fast?

What does the partnership mean for my warranties and support?

Nothing changes. Your warranties, monitoring, and aftercare are all still valid and managed by Wickes Solar.

Are existing Solar Fast customers affected by the rebrand?

No. If you bought through Solar Fast, your system, warranties, and support remain exactly the same, but are now managed by Wickes Solar.

Who do I contact for aftercare under the new branding?

You can contact Wickes Solar directly for all support, warranty, and service queries. Queries can be emailed to contact@wickessolar.co.uk or you can call 0330 818 3116

Who do I contact if I need to make a complaint?

Any complaint verbal or written will be referred to our complaints manager at the earliest opportunity or to a member of the senior management if the complaints manager is unavailable. Please refer to our complaints policy for further information.

What warranties come with the panels, inverters, and batteries?

Our panels come with a 30-year performance warranty and a 25-year product warranty. Inverters and batteries typically come with 10-12-year product warranties.

What is a performance warranty vs a product warranty?
  • A performance warranty guarantees the panels will still generate a certain percentage of their original output after a set number of years.

  • A product warranty covers defects or faults in the equipment itself.

What workmanship warranty do you provide?

We include a 2-year workmanship warranty, which covers the installation itself.

How does lifetime system monitoring work?

We provide ongoing monitoring of your system for 30 years. This lets us spot potential issues early and keep performance on track.

Which monitoring app is used and what can I see?

You’ll use the manufacturer’s monitoring app. It shows live generation, battery storage, and your home’s energy use.

Who do I contact if something stops working?

Our customer support team is your first point of contact. They’ll guide you through checks and arrange an engineer visit if needed.

What’s covered under warranty and what isn’t?

Warranties cover faults or defects with the panels, inverters, and batteries. They don’t cover accidental damage, storm damage, or general wear and tear.

How do I claim on a warranty or request a service visit?

Just contact our support team. We’ll check your system remotely where possible and arrange repairs or replacements if needed.

Will you help with insurance or DNO paperwork after installation?

Yes. We’ll provide the documents you need, including your MCS certificate and DNO approval, which can be used for insurance or export tariffs.

Can warranties be transferred if I sell my home?

Yes. Warranties stay with the system and can be transferred to the new homeowner.
