The Wickes Carpentry Block Plane is 54mm x 135mm is a great tool to keep in your toolbox. The 25°cutting angle is great for heavy to fine planing and it's ideal for end-grain work and is easy to manoeuvre, even with one hand. The body and blade are formed from durable and shock-resistant carbon steel for strength and the separate vertical and lateral adjustment enables you to set the blade to your exact requirements to achieve a fine or coarse plane. The adjustment knobs are chunky and sturdy with milled edges to help you get a good grip so they can be easily hand-tightened.
