Before purchasing the Bristan Installation Service, please check you are able to agree to the below:
Water can be isolated
The water is required to be turned off within the property.
If you have a gravity fed system which does not have independent isolation in the bathroom/shower room/wetroom where the product is to be installed, this would require the whole water system to be drained prior to the visit as we are unable to do this at the time of the visit.
Full access to the existing tap
For example: if you have a vanity unit, drawers need to be removable. Pedestals are not boxed or tiled in restricting access to the tap.
Loft access
If you have a gravity-fed system, we may require access to the loft; there must be safe flooring, lighting and a fixed ladder.
Suitable adult
Someone over the age of 18 must be present at the property on the day of installation.
What to expect
Once you have made your purchase, Bristan will be in touch to carry out further checks and potentially request images of your current installation. This will be done via a phone call and, once complete, they will then arrange delivery and installation.
Installation is arranged with Bristan and typically takes place within 10 working days of purchase.
Bristan will contact you once the item has arrived to ensure you are 100% satisfied with your purchase and everything is ready for the visit to take place.
The day before installation, you will receive a text message around 4PM to confirm the time of visit; this will be a 2.5-hour window.
On the day of installation, the engineer will arrive and carry out an assessment of installation, to ensure the work can be carried out safely with minimum disruption.
