How do you fit a pond liner?
To fit a pond liner, start by clearing any rocks, glass or other sharp objects from the hole, filling in any gaps with soft sand. Next, lay a protective underlay to sit between the ground and the pond liner, ensuring it contours with the grooves of the pond and overlaps the edges slightly.
Once your underlay is secure, unroll your pond liner outside of the pond and gently lower it into the pond. Press the liner into the pond, folding out any creases and pushing the material into the corners and contours. Finally, secure the edges and fill the pond with water.
How do you hide pond liner edges?
You can easily hide pond liner edges with paving slabs, rocks or other heavy decorative features. This will keep the liner in place whilst hiding the edging.
How do you find a leak in a pond liner?
To find a leak in a pond liner, start by turning off the water pump and allowing the water to settle as the tear will be located at the level that the water settles at. Next, carefully inspect the pond liner for tears. To spot tears in your pond liner, look for wet patches around the edge of the pond.
