Things to consider

Where will the skip be placed?

Remember that if you place a skip on the public road or pavement, you will need to buy a permit from the local authority. Conditions vary depending on where you are in the country. HIPPO will organise this for you with the local supplier as part of your skip hire. Please note that if your skip is on a public road, you may also need to organise parking suspension with your local authority. Also, please note we cannot deliver or collect skips at weekends or Bank Holidays.

What will your be putting into the skip?

Please note that we cannot accept aerosols, asbestos, batteries, chemicals, clinical waste, compressed canisters, food waste, fridge/freezers, gas bottles, general house waste (black bin bags), hazardous materials, liquids, toxic waste, WEEE electrical items and wet paint tins, upholstered items (with textile or foam upholstery).
